Tiffany & Co. and Fendi are collaborating by bringing both brand’s most recognizable characteristics together - the Tiffany Blue and the Fendi Baguette. To celebrate Fendi’s 25 years of the iconic Baguette Bag, they are partnering up with Tiffany & Co. to create a capsule collaboration.
The Baguette owes it’s popularity to “Sex and the City” when Carrie Bradshaw explained to the viewers that “this isn’t a bag, it’s a Baguette.” And thus making the Baguette the must-have bag of the 90’s and onward. Sarah Jessica Parker channels her inner Carrie by taking part in the anniversary celebrations by attending the Fendi show for New York Fashion Week while carrying a Baguette.
Tiffany’s Robin Blue was trademarked in 1998 and makes the color equate to luxury. It is known world-wide as the color of femininity and elegance. It IS Tiffany.
The bag will have both iconic logos in the clasp, with the two F’s and two T’s combined. While the bag will not be available until early 2023, it is very smart to announce this collaboration in their anniversary NYFW show.
This is the first collaboration for Tiffany since the acquisition by LVMH. Earlier, I shared my opinions of the acquisitions. I believe that this collaboration is great for the brand; especially for the brand LVMH is trying to make Tiffany become. Fendi has always been a luxury house that targets wealthy, young people. Since this is also Tiffany’s new target audience, this partnership will help spread brand awareness for both parties.
